Many statements by Russian media or government officials are regarded as propaganda. Such claims are part of the informational war waged by Russia.

- Russia has called for a UN Security Council meeting on Ukraine on March 22, announced the First Deputy Permanent Representative of Russia to the UN, Dmitry Polanski, at the Council meeting.

Russia defends this act of propaganda as a reaction to "numerous decisions by irresponsible European politicians" who, according to unfounded accusations by the Kremlin, "seek to intensify the conflict in Ukraine and elevate it to a new level", aiming for "a direct confrontation between Russia and NATO," Polanski explained.

The Russian envoy also discussed the attack on Odessa, which occurred on March 6, Thursday, during the visits of President Zelensky and Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis. Reports state that the assault targeted Zelensky's convoy, with the missile detonating about 150 metres away from the Greek delegation.

On March 8, Zelensky reported that a Russian ballistic missile struck within 300 to 400 metres from Mitsotakis. The attack resulted in the death of five individuals, though their identities were not disclosed.

- Russia does not aim to kill Zelensky - Polanski asserted at the UN Security Council meeting. - Do you honestly believe that if we wanted to hit Zelensky's convoy, we couldn't do it? - he challenged the Council members.

Polanski further explained that the Russian strike aimed to destroy a site believed to be used for drone production with components supplied from the UK. - This objective is much more critical to us than targeting Zelensky - he claimed.
