Norwegian Prime Minister's security plan discovered on Trondheim street: Key details exposed

- I found these documents left abandoned in the center of the road in Trondheim near Scandic Nidelven at 7:45pm GMT on Monday. One of the pages detailed, 'Operation: Visit of Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre in Røros on 20/02' - a local dweller reported to the Norwegian broadcaster NRK on Wednesday.

The man unintentionally discovered a detailed security plan for the Norwegian Prime Minister on the street during the leader of the country's visit to Røros on February 20th. Upon realizing what he had stumbled upon, he brought the ten-page document to the police station. Finding that the building had already closed for the day, he slid the confidential plan under the station's door.

Confidential document found laying in the street

The document, in great detail, disclosed aspects such as where the prime minister was planned to be minute by minute, which car he would use, the identity of his driver, and the number of bodyguards responsible for the safety of the Norwegian head of government. The document also contained details on the kind of weapon assigned to the local police performing bodyguard duties.

Police embarks on an investigation

Upon the revelation of the misplaced Prime Minister's security plan, NRK sought a statement from the police.

- This is information that the police want to keep to themselves - claims the police chief in Trondheim, Geir Arne Sjøhagen. - It's regrettable that this incident became public knowledge - he expressed, indicating that they would carry out investigations to ascertain how the confidential document, which had been transmitted electronically, got lost in the street.
