Norway, Spain, and Ireland recognize Palestine amidst Israeli backlash
Norway, Spain, and Ireland recognized Palestine as a state on Wednesday. The government's decisions will take effect on 28 May. In response to these actions, Israel's Foreign Minister, Israel Katz, called for immediate consultations with the ambassadors in Ireland and Norway. Israel previously described plans to recognize the Palestinian state as a "distorted step."

Harris added that "Palestinians in Gaza are enduring the most appalling, suffering, hardship and starvation. A humanitarian catastrophe, unimaginable to most, and unconscionable to all - is unfolding in real time."
"Netanyahu is stil playing deaf ears"
In Madrid, the Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez's speech was met with applause in the parliament.

Foreign Minister Israel Katz called for immediate consultations with the Israeli ambassadors in Ireland and Norway.

The Israeli Foreign Minister also claims that the decision to recognize Palestine as a state "undermines the chance for peace and questions Israel’s right to self-defense."

Warrant request for Netanyahu's arrest
ICC Prosecutor Karim Khan announced on Monday that he has submitted a request for an arrest warrant for Netanyahu, Galant, and three Hamas leaders - Yahya Sinwar, Mohammed Deif, and Ismail Haniyeh. This request is related to suspicions of their responsibility for war crimes and crimes against humanity allegedly committed since October 2023 in Israel and the Gaza Strip.
