"El País" revealed that NATO soldiers have been present on Ukrainian soil, a fact confirmed by statements from Emmanuel Macron and the foreign minister Radosław Sikorski.
- NATO countries' soldiers are presently in Ukraine and I would like to extend a sincere thank you to the ambassadors of those countries for taking such a risk. They themselves are best aware of their own countries - stated Radosław Sikorski during a conference in the Sejm, marking the 25th anniversary of Poland joining NATO.
Moreover, the Chancellor of Germany, Olaf Scholz, mentioned at the end of February that British and French soldiers are on the ground in Ukraine.
According to the newspaper, NATO soldiers have been on Ukrainian territory for many years now. It is reported that the United States has military representatives there, overseeing the delivery of weaponry.
Informants on the front
After consulting with various representatives from the Ukrainian and NATO military forces, the Spanish journal reports that NATO soldiers are not participating in combat within Ukraine. "El País", on the other hand, notes that personnel from NATO countries are in Ukraine, but they are performing different roles. For instance, some are informants who provide updates on the front line situation or assess the efficacy of the weapons supplied to Ukraine.
