The NATO Secretary General has highlighted that China needs to halt its support for Russia if it seeks to preserve amicable relations with Western countries. "China claims they desire good relations with the West. However, Beijing persistently aids the largest armed conflict in Europe since the Second World War. You cannot have everything," Jens Stoltenberg remarked.

While in Berlin, Jens Stoltenberg pointed out that Beijing's aid is critically crucial for Moscow's military actions, as reported by Reuters Agency. China is bolstering the Russian wartime economy by supplying sophisticated technology.

"Last year, Russia received 90 percent of its microelectronics from China, which are utilized in manufacturing missiles, tanks, and aircraft. Furthermore, China is enhancing Russia's satellite and imaging capabilities," Stoltenberg conveyed.

A choice between Russia and the West

Stoltenberg emphasized that China cannot simultaneously support Russia and expect to keep favorable relations with Western nations. "China professes their interest in good relations with the West. Concurrently, Beijing is perpetuating the most significant armed conflict in Europe since the Second World War. It's impossible to have everything," he determined.

The NATO Secretary General also cautioned the West about the risks of becoming over-reliant on China, highlighting the dangers by alluding to past dependencies. "We erred in the past by becoming overly dependent on Russian oil and gas. We cannot afford to make the same mistake with China. Relying on their capital, raw materials, and technology renders us vulnerable," he advised.
