On Wednesday, Naomi Campbell turned heads at a premiere during the Cannes Film Festival. For the "Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga" screening, the model chose a bold outfit she had first debuted nearly 30 years ago.

On Tuesday, the 77th edition of the Cannes Film Festival began. This celebratory event, dedicated to French cinema, typically attracts many celebrities to the French Riviera. The opening ceremony saw stars like Jane Fonda, Greta Gerwig, and Lily Gladstone attend. On the festival's first day, attendees were also greeted with a glimpse of Meryl Streep, who received the Honorary Gold Palm for her contributions for a lifetime. The audience gave her a standing ovation, and Juliette Binoche delivered a moving speech honouring her.

The Cannes Festival is renowned not just for the cinema stars who grace the red carpet and famous stairs in creations from top designers but also for the films and eagerly anticipated premieres it showcases. This year, 22 titles vied for the Golden Palm, among them Francis Ford Coppola's "lifetime work," "Megalopolis," a tale on Donald Trump's "The Apprentice," and new works from directors Yorgos Lanthimos and Paolo Sorrentino.

The festival also included screenings of productions that did not compete in the main category. On Wednesday, as part of the festivities, the premiere of a new film from the beloved "Mad Max" universe detailing the story of Emperor Furiosa was held. Many familiar faces were in attendance for George Miller's latest offering.

At the "Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga" premiere on the red carpet, attendees spotted Anya Taylor-Joy and Chris Hemsworth, who play the leading roles, with Hemsworth being accompanied by his partner, Elsa Pataky. The event also had a Polish representation in the form of Caroline Derpieński, who appeared in a Versace ensemble.

Naomi Campbell was among the celebrities who showed up on Wednesday for the premiere of "Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga." The 53-year-old fashion icon captivated everyone with her choice of attire. Campbell, showcasing the film with Anya Taylor-Joy in a leading role, wore a long, black dress with a sequined bodice and straps adorned with white pearls. The daring lower part of the dress featured transparent sections that revealed the model's lingerie and highlighted her legs.

The gown in which Naomi Campbell made her statement at Cannes is a masterpiece by Chanel and Karl Lagerfeld. Remarkably, this was not the first occasion Campbell had impressed in this striking dress. The model had previously worn it on the runway during the Chanel spring/summer collection presentation in 1997. The star also took the opportunity to remind her followers of this moment by posting archive photos from that show on Instagram.
