Hybrid and gel manicures have gained popularity due to their convenience and long-lasting effects. Unfortunately, after prolonged use, nails can become weakened, brittle, and dry. Therefore, it's important to take care of their proper regeneration. How can you restore their healthy appearance?

To enable nails to regenerate, it's advisable to give them a few weeks of rest. During this time, avoid applying further layers of polish. It's beneficial to use conditioners that will support the regeneration process.

This is how you can save damaged nails after hybrids

An inexpensive yet effective way to rebuild nails is castor oil, available at chemists for modest cost. Regularly rubbing the oil into the nail plate helps prevent splitting, thus strengthening the nails and reducing their brittleness.

Gelatine can also be helpful. Preparing a hand bath is very simple. Just dissolve a teaspoon of gelatine in about 240 millilitres of water, then heat it. Soaking your nails in this prepared solution for several minutes regularly can work wonders.

A balanced diet is essential

Nail regeneration is a time-consuming process, so it's worth supporting it from the inside as well. A diet rich in omega-3 acids, vitamins, and minerals such as zinc and iron will positively affect not only nails but also skin and hair condition.

Supplementing with biotin and B vitamins can also be beneficial. Such an "energy boost" may speed up the recovery of damaged nails after hybrids.
