The router was confiscated as it was deemed "an object used in committing an administrative offence" by the court's decision.

A police officer reported the case to Russian authorities. Since the commencement of the severe Russian invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, Russia has issued thousands of sentences for imprisonment or fines against individuals who publicly criticise military actions or express support for Ukrainian forces.
