Michael Ballack played for the German national team from 1999 to 2010. He made a name for himself in club football as a Bayern Munich, Chelsea FC, and Bayer 04 Leverkusen player. At the turn of the century, he was one of the most recognizable footballers from Germany, and a little later, he became one of the highest earners.

The German invested part of his fortune in a Ferrari California Spyder. Before the tragic accident, Michael Schumacher persuaded the footballer to take this step. Ballack and the racing driver had become friends.

Michael Ballack became the owner of the collector's car in 2008. The investment should prove very profitable for him, and the former footballer could get a substantial financial boost in retirement.

According to media reports, the car could fetch £14 million at auction. Although the cost is staggering, someone will surely be willing to buy it. For wealthy collectors, owning a Ferrari California Spyder is an enticing opportunity.

Michael Ballack's convertible model is one of the most sought-after at auctions. The Ferrari California Spyder is considered one of the most beautiful cars in the world.

Michael Ballack has not published photos of himself behind the wheel of a luxury car. He used more functional vehicles to travel on German or English roads. Keeping the Ferrari in the garage may be one of the best investment ideas for Germans.
