Four men stormed Crocus City Hall during a Piknik band concert on a Friday evening, opening fire and killing a total of 139 people and injuring another 182. Suspects, including at least one from Tajikistan, were arrested on Sunday. Dmitriy Medvedev spoke out regarding the terrorists.
"Everyone is asking me. What to do? They were caught. Bravo to everyone who captured them. Should they be killed? They must. And so it will be," wrote the Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation on Telegram on Monday.
Medvedev further noted, "much more important is to kill everyone involved in this matter". "Everyone. Whoever paid, whoever sympathized, whoever helped. Kill them all," proclaimed the former president of Russia.
The United States warned Putin
American officials, based on intelligence data, warned Moscow about an impending terrorist attack at the beginning of March. Vladimir Putin, in his special speech after the attack in Crocus City Hall, did not mention Islamic fighters.
The Russian dictator repeated information previously announced by the Federal Security Service, stating that in connection with the attack, 11 people were arrested, and also that the four direct perpetrators "tried to hide and were moving towards Ukraine", where a "window had been prepared for them to cross the border on the Ukrainian side." Kyiv denied playing any role in Friday's attack.
