Some time ago, coil hair ties were favourites among hair enthusiasts. Many women went crazy about them. They offered a strong hold without pulling on the hair.

Although interest in them has decreased over the years, they can still easily be found in chemists. The issue, as fans of these accessories will surely remember, was that these hair ties often stretched out, losing their form and function.

Don’t throw out your stretched hair tie

The internet is an invaluable source of various tricks that make everyday life easier. On Instagram, one user shared a method to simply restore the elastic form of our hair tie. This trick is incredibly easy and requires little effort.

All you need to do is place the hair tie in a small bowl and pour boiling water over it. Under the influence of the hot water, the hair tie’s material will shrink, regaining its former appearance. This way, you won’t have to spend money on a new hair tie.

How to take care of your hair in winter?

Winter months can be a challenging period for our hair. Frost, wind, and wearing hats can lead to hair weakening. Lower temperatures and dry air cause strands to become dull and brittle. Cold weather also affects the scalp, leading to dryness and weakened follicles. This increases hair brittleness and hair loss.

Hair care in winter requires a special approach. Attention should be paid to hats, among other things. It’s important to choose headwear made from natural materials, such as wool. Synthetic materials can further electrify and weaken hair. Regularly moisturise your hair - use conditioners and masks that protect your hair from moisture loss.
