Lady Gaga’s new look sparks plastic surgery debate
Lady Gaga recently dazzled at the premiere of the second part of "Joker." Many internet users then noticed the transformed face of the artist, who has repeatedly stated that she has never undergone plastic surgery. An American surgeon seems not to believe her claims.
Lady Gaga first shook global music charts over 16 years ago by releasing the song "Just Dance." Today, she is undoubtedly among the top-tier stars, fulfilling roles as an actress, entrepreneur, and producer. The eccentric artist has repeatedly proven that she possesses boundless creativity and extraordinary talent.
Despite her long-standing presence in the music industry, the performer of the hit "Bad Romance" is still one of the busiest stars in Hollywood. In just the last six months, she released a hit duet with Bruno Mars, appeared on film screens in the second part of "Joker," and surprised fans with an unexpected release of the "Harlequin" album. Moreover, her latest single, "Disease", debuted online last Friday.
Lady Gaga showcased a transformed face. A surgeon lists the procedures the artist has allegedly undergone
Apart from her artistic achievements, Lady Gaga's appearance has stirred emotions for a long time. The singer has often been shocked with quirky stylings and dramatic transformations. There was also frequent discussion about the appearance of her face, which has changed quite significantly over the years. The artist herself admitted years ago that she underwent cosmetic treatments and used fillers. At the same time, she emphasised that she never went under the knife. Foreign plastic surgeons, however, think otherwise. The Daily Mail website recently quoted a statement from one of them.
Dr Joel Kopelman analysed how Lady Gaga’s face has changed over the years and shared his insights in a piece published on YouTube. The surgeon claimed, among other things, that in his opinion, the artist had her nose surgery, which today is significantly narrower than two decades ago, removed fat from her cheeks, repeatedly enlarged her lips, filled the tissue above her eyelids, and even underwent a procedure to change the shape of her eye corners. The specialist also noted that the star might have recently undergone a controversial, non-surgical skin-tightening procedure using PDO threads, which, in his view, “is not worth the risk”, and its effects are visible for about two years.
This is generally a very temporary procedure that, in my opinion, carries significant risk because it is very temporary and I don’t believe it is worth the risks, as stated Dr Kopelman.
