Kim Kardashian's MET Gala 2024 outfit sparks debate over beauty standards

The MET Gala 2024 drew a real crowd of stars. Of course, Kim Kardashian was unavoidably present, turning up in a dress complemented by a corset and layered with a sweater. However, not everyone was enamored with her look.

This year's edition of the MET Gala has already taken place. Naturally, the biggest names in global show business were in attendance. This year, stars were challenged to arrive in styles evoking the theme of beauty and the inevitable passage of time. The event was held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Kim Kardashian surprises with her look at the MET Gala 2024

Among the celebrities gathered at the ball were names like Lana del Rey, Pamela Anderson, and Rebecca Ferguson. Kim Kardashian was certainly not to be missed. The celebrity in a silver dress complemented by a corset caught everyone's eye. At 43, she chose a silvery gown paired with a corset. Kim's blonde hair cascaded down to a grey sweater, which she stylishly draped over her shoulders.

While Kim's style was striking, it didn't appeal to everyone. The internet buzzed with comments from people criticising the star for promoting unhealthy standards.

To every young girl who sees this... this is NOT normal. Did she get some ribs removed or what?! Is she even breathing? - we read.

Did Kim indeed take the corset too far?
