According to a poll released on Saturday by Siena Polls for The New York Times, U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris leads Donald Trump by 4 percentage points in three crucial states—Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania.
For nearly a year, opinion polls have indicated a tie between Trump and President Joe Biden or a slight lead for the Republican candidate, emphasises "The NYT."
In all three states, 50% of voters stated they would vote for Harris, while 46% supported Trump.

The paper reminded readers that Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania are swing states, where sometimes the Republican candidate wins, and sometimes the Democrat. Gaining an edge among voters there is crucial for the presidential election outcome.
As early as late July, a Bloomberg-commissioned study indicated that Harris led in four of the seven swing states—Michigan, Nevada, Arizona, and Wisconsin—and tied with Trump in Georgia.
At the beginning of July, Trump led Biden by 2 percentage points and was ahead in five of the seven swing states.
