On Sunday, 14 July, the Euro 2024 competition concluded, revealing the final champion of the event held in Germany. The decisive match saw the national teams of Spain and England face off.
The first half was goalless, but that changed in the second half. Shortly after play resumed, La Furia Roja took the lead. Although England managed to equalise, Spain ultimately scored the winning goal within regular time.
Among the spectators was former England international Jordan Henderson, who appeared in Berlin despite initial obstacles.
Following issues with his flight, Henderson opted for an alternative mode of transport. He rented a bus to travel to Berlin with his children.
The "Daily Mail" reported that the 34-year-old's journey to the Euro final city took nearly eight hours. However, after the final whistle, he had little reason to celebrate as England were defeated.
Henderson earned 81 caps for the England national team, scoring three goals. His last appearance for the national team was in 2023.
