American sources report that the star of "The Bear" is in talks to appear in a biographical film about Bruce Springsteen, the legendary musician who is highly revered in the USA. He would portray Bruce Springsteen.

The planned biographical film aims to adapt a book by Warren Zanes titled "Deliver Me From Nowhere: The Making of Bruce Springsteen’s Nebraska". What's the book about? It explores how the Boss (as Springsteen is known in the States) created his sixth studio album, "Nebraska", in 1982. Bruce performed all the instruments himself on the album, which features songs about social outcasts and individuals with seemingly no future, diverging from the optimistic tones of his previous albums. Opting not to promote the album with a concert tour, the record was ranked 150th among the 500 greatest albums according to Rolling Stone Magazine. It sounds like a captivating story that should be portrayed on the screen.

Will Jeremy Allen White portray Bruce Springsteen?

Discussions about the production are happening at studio A24, known for "Everything Everywhere All at Once" and "Steel Brothers". Scott Cooper is reportedly taking on the script and direction. He directed "Crazy Heart" with Jeff Bridges, another music drama. The most pressing question now is regarding the casting and, specifically, who will portray the Boss.

As per a report by The Hollywood Reporter, negotiations are underway with Jeremy Allen White, who could step into Springsteen's shoes. The springboard to fame for Allen White was the series "The Bear" (available in the UK on Disney+), which received critical and viewer acclaim over its two seasons. Jeremy garnered two Golden Globes and an Emmy award for his role as a chef. Last year, he participated in "Steel Brothers," a biographical film about a family of wrestlers. He underwent intensive training to prepare for the role and consumed a large amount of high-calorie food. The results were evident in the film, and an underwear advertisement featuring the actor in his briefs instantly became a viral sensation.

Allen White's involvement has not been confirmed yet, but releasing such information to the media is a typical strategy in Hollywood. Production studios then gauge the industry and public reaction to such leaks, which can expedite or derail certain decisions.
