The Yemeni Houthi rebels, known as the "Ansar Allah" movement, conducted an attack on the American aircraft carrier USS Harry Truman, located in the northern part of the Red Sea, reports "Kommersant". According to information provided by the Russian service, the attack was executed using two cruise missiles and four drones.

A representative of the Houthis, Yahya Saria, claimed that the attack occurred as the American armed forces were preparing for a large raid on Yemen. He stated that the rebels' operation disrupted the planned US air force attack.

As reported by "Kommersant", an additional three drones targeted a military facility in the city of Jaffa, and another drone was directed at a "key facility" of the Israeli army in Ashkelon.

United States Central Command did not confirm reports of an attack on the aircraft carrier. The Israeli army also did not report any attacks on its military facilities.

Previously, on 28th December, "Ansar Allah" announced a missile attack on the Israeli Nevatim airbase in the Negev desert, using a "Palestine-2" ballistic missile.
