Ground meat patties are a classic dish that often graces our tables. However, they don't always meet our taste expectations. Even if they look appetizing, they can be dry and tough, which won’t satisfy the household members or guests. The key to success is soft, juicy patties that will delight with their taste. It’s worth adding one secret ingredient to the meat to achieve this effect, which will give the dish a unique aroma.

Recipe for ground meat patties with apple – step by step

Adding an apple to ground meat patties might seem unusual, but the result is surprisingly upbeat. The apple gives the patties a slightly tart and fresh flavour, which, in combination with the meat, creates a delicious composition. Additionally, thanks to the apple, the consistency of the patties becomes juicier, making the dish significantly more delicious.

Ingredients:

  • 450 g ground meat (e.g., pork and beef blend)
  • 1 large apple (sweet and tart)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 onion
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 100 g breadcrumbs
  • Salt, pepper, favourite spices
  • Oil for frying

Preparation:

  1. Apple: Peel the apple and grate it on a fine grater. Squeeze out the excess juice.
  2. Onion and garlic: Chop the onion and press the garlic.
  3. Stuffing: In a bowl, combine ground meat, grated apple, chopped onion, pressed garlic, egg, breadcrumbs, and spices. Mix the stuffing thoroughly until all the ingredients are combined.
  4. Forming patties: Form patties of any shape from the resulting mixture.
  5. Frying: Heat the oil in a pan and fry the patties until golden brown.

Ground meat patties with apple taste excellent when served with various sides such as:

  • Potatoes: Boiled, roasted, or mashed potatoes are a classic combination.
  • Vegetables: Cucumber salad, coleslaw, or fresh salad are healthy and light side dishes.
