Glen Powell hints at Top Gun sequel amid Hollywood success

After the success of the comedy “Anyone But You” and the disaster spectacle “Twisters,” 35-year-old Glen Powell has gained the status of a rising star in Hollywood. Previously, he spent many years mostly “wandering” in supporting roles. This was the case, for example, in the movie "Top Gun: Maverick" from two years ago. If the information is confirmed, he will be a lead character in the blockbuster—a lead, but of course, two or three steps behind Tom Cruise.

His statement that he has time reserved for filming the sequel to the 2022 hit may mean that his next mission will be a space expedition. This time, the space expedition could be literal because it has long been known that Tom Cruise is working on a project that will allow him to film in space. The star is involved in creating the space film studio named SEE-1, which will dock at the first commercial space station, Axiom Station.
