Jimmy Mitchel is known online for frequently travelling with his wife, Pauline, and their two children. He was supposed to fly from Sydney to Brisbane in Australia this time. Unfortunately, he was not allowed to board because he took a photo of his family on the airport tarmac.
The flight attendant called the traveller an idiot
- This is the worst experience I have ever had. We were just boarding the plane when I took a photo of my family. The flight attendant yelled at me and called me an idiot. She said she wouldn't let me on the plane and that the police would be here soon - Jimmy says in a video published on TikTok.
The man was unaware that the airport staff had issued a notice informing him not to use mobile phones on the tarmac because the plane was refuelling. Mitchell said he had noise-cancelling headphones on and did not hear the announcement.
Passenger demands an apology from the airline
Shocked, Mitchell returned to the terminal and waited for further instructions. Eventually, the traveller was able to board and join his family. However, he was outraged by the way the airline employee treated him. He expects an apology from the airline.
I turned around in disbelief because I was already halfway up the stairs. I asked, "Are you serious? What did you just call me?" If she had said something else, like "put away your phone," I would have done it. But she just yelled, calling me an idiot—he explains.
