The French representative makes a plea for peace
This year's Eurovision contestants are united in their message of spreading peace globally, emphasizing the role of the contest in bridging people through music. During a dress rehearsal, France’s Slimane spoke directly to the audience.
"When I was a child, I dreamed about music, I dreamed about this dream to be a singer, to sing for peace. Each one of us artists aspires to sing about love and peace. Our unity through music must stem from a genuine love for peace. Thank you so much, thank you Europe," said Slimane during the rehearsal.
