Thanks to the internet, the German saxophonist has emerged as one of the stars of the ongoing Euro 2024 tournament. This man entertains the crowds in fan zones, leads cheers, and has become their hero. Fans have already hailed him as the tournament's revelation and demanded that he perform during the tournament's closing ceremony in Berlin.

André Schnura, the revelation of this year’s European Championships, is German. He plays popular music hits supplemented with saxophone sounds on the streets and in fan zones. The melodies are catchy, and the fans love his performances.

Schnura has been playing at weddings for years and selling handmade instruments. He was also a tutor, teaching saxophone playing. Just before the Euro, he lost his job. He decided to use his free time and the tournament in Germany to play for the fans. He did not expect to gain such popularity.

I am incredibly stunned by what is happening around me. The last few weeks have been ups and downs. I was fired from my job after six years and started asking myself what next - wrote André Schnura in an Instagram post.

His Instagram account already has over 550,000 followers. In the short videos André Schnura posts online, thousands of football fans enjoy the tunes of the hits he plays.

Enthusiastic fans are already comparing Schnura to Epic Sax Guy, the Moldovan musician Serghei Stepanov, who played at Eurovision. The popularity Schnura has gained could quickly turn into a source of income. German fans want the saxophonist to perform at the Euro 2024 closing ceremony on 14 July in Berlin.

Germans also hope that Schnura will have the opportunity to play all night on the capital's streets after winning the championship. The team coached by Julian Nagelsmann is considered one of the favourites to win the Henri Delaunay Cup. However, they will first have to defeat another favourite, Spain, in the quarterfinals.
