This season, Eugenie Bouchard decided to return to competitive tennis. Despite not achieving great success in her career, she once ranked 5th in the world in the WTA rankings. She had been inactive since November 2022, when she competed in the Billie Jean King Cup.

In May of this year, the Canadian chose to participate in an ITF W75 tournament in Florida, specifically in Zephyrhills. She won two matches there but retired before the start of the third set in the quarterfinals. In the doubles competition, she managed to win only one match.

Currently, the Canadian mainly competes in pickleball, which combines tennis, ping pong, and badminton. Despite this, she has not decided to abandon the sport that made her famous.

Bouchard, who recently reportedly separated from the son of famous supermodel Christie Brinkley, often publishes bold photos on the internet. She has now decided to explain why she does this.

- Tennis, first of all, is a great sport for that sex appeal side. That's good for tennis in general, for female tennis, for women's sports, that's good for everything - she confessed on the Not Alone podcast.
- [It's] just increasing my fan base, my audience, which in turn helps me get better brand deals, better endorsements.Tennis is the only thing I know, but it can't be the only thing I'll ever do in my life - she added.

Currently, the Canadian's official Instagram profile is followed by over 2.3 million people. In tennis, gathering such a large number of followers is rare.
