Elvis’s blue suede shoes fetch £120,000 at London auction
The blue suede shoes that once belonged to Elvis Presley were sold at a London auction for £120,000. The legendary singer wore this pair of blue suede shoes (as mentioned in the song "Blue Suede Shoes") during a TV performance in July 1956.
The auction house claims that Elvis Presley gave this pair of size 10.5 shoes to his friend Alan Fortas in 1958, just before starting his military service.

The starting price for the shoes, whose authenticity was confirmed by the founder of the Elvis Presley Museum, was £55,000.
Presley, considered the king of rock, not only wore blue or navy suede shoes, but also recorded a song about them (though he was not the author). "Well you can do anything but stay off'a my blue suede shoes."
