To clean dirty walls, we need a tablespoon of washing-up liquid and about a litre of warm water. Mix the two in a bowl, and then use a microfibre cloth or a clean sponge to wash the entire stained surface.
Finally, just remove the excess water from the wall using a paper towel or a dry, soft cloth. After drying, there should be no trace of the dirt.
Chalk will deal with greasy stains
The mixture of water and washing-up liquid isn't the only way to remove stains from the wall. It turns out that white chalk is excellent for removing greasy stains.
Simply cover the stain with chalk and leave it overnight. That's not all. The next day, you need to gently remove it with a brush. However, do this very carefully to avoid scrubbing off the paint.
