Duchess Kate steps back amidst cancer battle, royal family rallies
Prince William and Duchess Kate have recently reduced their professional engagements. Middleton has stepped back entirely. She's seeking tranquillity during her cancer treatment. A friend of the couple shared that this period has been challenging for them.
This year has been particularly tough for the British royal family, grappling with internal strife and health concerns. Merely two months following the disclosure that King Charles III was facing cancer, Duchess Kate also disclosed her battle with the illness.
Before Middleton's public announcement about her cancer treatment, speculation was rife in the media and among the public about the reasons behind her extended recovery period after undergoing abdominal surgery. Some of these speculations were quite bizarre.
The duchess' friend reveals
Following the revelation, Kate Middleton completely withdrew from the public eye. Prince William also scaled back his public appearances. Nonetheless, at the end of April, he made a rare appearance at the grand opening of James Place Centre in Newcastle, where he reassured that his wife and children are well.
A close friend of the royal couple, Amaia Arrieta, views things a little differently. The fashion designer, who has often dressed the royals, openly expressed her concern when speaking to "The Telegraph" about the recent challenges William and Kate are facing.
My heart is heavy with sadness. I believe they are enduring a tough time, but I'm hopeful for their recovery. It's really a private issue - she stated.
She dresses the children of William and Kate
She chose her words carefully, which makes sense. Arrieta has a longstanding relationship with the royal family, and betraying their trust could lead to severe repercussions.
Dressing members of the royal family fills me with pride, their appearance means a lot to me - she highlighted in the same interview for "The Telegraph".
It's worth noting that Amaia is behind Charlotte, George, and Louis' outfits. In a Christmas photo 2014, 10-year-old Prince George was seen wearing corduroy shorts from her label. Meanwhile, Princess Charlotte was captured in a tartan skirt, also designed by Arrieta, for the notable Mother's Day photo.
