For several days, intense fighting has been ongoing in the Donetsk region, northwest of Avdiivka. Clashes are happening, among others, around the village of Berdyche. A Ukrainian reconnaissance drone captured the video below.

The video shows a Russian infantry fighting vehicle, BMP-3 - hit by cluster munitions and a kamikaze drone - burning before it suddenly explodes. The massive explosion completely obliterates it.

Fighting west of Avdiivka

Russian forces have been moderately successful in their offensive in the Donetsk region, west of Avdiivka. They have captured a few towns.

Analysts from the think tank Institute for the Study of War (ISW) reported on Sunday that Putin's army has likely made progress west of Avdiivka. Geolocated footage suggests they took the towns of Tonenke and Newelske.

The capture of Newelske by the Russians was also confirmed by "Bild" journalist Julian Roepcke.
