Water remaining on glasses, plates, or other dishes taken out of the dishwasher can cause difficulties for several reasons. First, removing dishes from the upper shelves may cause those placed below to get wet, leading to the need for additional drying and wasting the time that was supposed to be saved by using the dishwasher.
Moreover, removing wet dishes can splash water on clothes, kitchen furniture, and the floor. Although the spilled water is clean, it still needs to be wiped up, increasing the work involved in using the dishwasher. One method of dealing with this problem is to empty the lower part of the dishwasher first, but there is an even better solution.
A simple way to deal with wet dishes from the dishwasher
The problem of excess water on the dishes in the dishwasher can be easily solved. Moreover, this method can be applied to almost any dishwasher model. So, what is it?
First, check if your dishwasher has additional wheels on the upper rack's sides. You shouldn't have any trouble locating them, as they are not connected to any guides.
After confirming that the dishwasher has additional wheels, empty the upper rack. Then, pull it out entirely and gently lift the front part to release the front wheel. Once you manage this, continue pulling the rack until the rear wheel reaches the end of the guide – then lift the rack again and release the rear wheel.
After releasing the first two wheels from the guide, start sliding the upper rack back in. The next step is to place the upper wheel you located initially on the rail. You need to ensure the dishwasher drawer is securely placed on the guide. You can check this by moving it sideways and up and down.
If you have followed all the steps correctly, you can start using the dishwasher again without any issues. The problem of wet dishes on the upper rack should no longer bother you.
