Ingredients:

                  
  • 1 young cabbage
  • 100 grams of smoked plum
  • 1 onion
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1 carrot
  • 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh dill for garnish

Method:

          
  1. Prepare the ingredients: wash and chop the cabbage, and cut the smoked plums into smaller pieces. Peel and finely dice the onion. Peel and chop the garlic, and grate the peeled carrot on a coarse grater.
  2. Frying: heat the vegetable oil in a large pot. Add the onion and fry until it becomes soft and slightly golden. Add the garlic and fry for another minute.
  3. Stewing: add the grated carrot and the chopped cabbage. Mix everything thoroughly. Add the smoked plums, salt, and pepper to taste. Reduce the heat, cover the pot, and stew the cabbage for about 20-25 minutes until it is soft. Stir occasionally to prevent the cabbage from sticking to the bottom of the pot.
  4. Serving: after cooking, transfer the stewed cabbage to a plate and sprinkle with fresh dill. Young cabbage with smoked plum goes well with bread, potatoes, or as a side dish to meat.
