Cuba simplifies travel with new e‑visa system for tourists
A Caribbean country that many travellers dream of visiting has introduced a significant convenience for tourists. Instead of complicated procedures and the traditional tourist card, an e-visa system has been implemented to simplify entry formalities.

In the Greater Antilles archipelago, Cuba is the largest country in the Caribbean by area. Many Europeans, including Poles, dream of travelling to its shores.
The new procedure brings this dream closer to reality by allowing travellers to obtain a visa online, significantly shortening the waiting time and eliminating the need for intermediaries or embassy formalities. The e-visa is available for both individual tourists and organised groups.
An electronic visa for Cuba will cost £20
Previously, a tourist card could be obtained, for example, at the embassy or through a travel agency. The cost of this document ranged from £26 to £32, and the process often required a personal appearance or sending documents by post. The e-visa procedure, however, is more automated and significantly easier.
Visit the Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs website and fill out the appropriate form. The new e-visa costs €22 (£20). The document can be downloaded online without intermediaries.
The visa can be extended during your stay in Cuba
The new visa will be valid for 90 days, with the possibility of extension on-site, which is particularly beneficial for tourists planning a longer stay.
Visitors will still need to present basic documents, such as a valid passport, proof of accommodation, and travel insurance, and they will be verified upon entry to Cuba. However, the new e-visa will save a lot of time and stress.
