Everything indicates that we are in for a record-breaking hot summer.. Air conditioning seems to be the only solution, but not everyone can afford it

How can you lower the temperature in your home? Learn the trick that will keep your flat pleasantly cool. You only need one item that you can buy at any pharmacy.

An alternative to air conditioning

Air conditioning is a dream for many of us, but it comes at a considerable cost. The unit price ranges from 300 to even several thousand pounds. No wonder so many people opt to buy a fan. You can find them in any electronics store, and seasonally even in supermarkets.

Stick to the window. The room will cool down immediately

There is an even cheaper method that anyone can afford. You only need one item — an emergency blanket. You can purchase it from any pharmacy for no more than 2 pounds, sometimes even less.

To install it, you need to measure the windows precisely, then transfer these measurements to the blanket and cut out the appropriate piece. After preparing the material, place it on the window with the silver side facing out. Attach the blanket to the window frame using painter's tape, which will not leave marks on the glass. By reflecting the sun's rays with the silver surface, the flat will not heat up as much.

If you want to maintain a pleasantly cool temperature in your flat, remember to cover all blinds and curtains before you leave for work. If you have the means, it is worth investing in blackout curtains, which can be found in most interior furnishing stores.
