Five wooden coffins with the inscription "French soldiers fallen in Ukraine" were placed on Saturday near the Eiffel Tower in Paris. In connection with the incident, police officers detained three people. They are citizens of Bulgaria, Germany, and Ukraine, reported the newspaper "Le Parisien" on Sunday.

The coffins were placed on the pavement of one of the streets next to the Eiffel Tower. They were noticed in the morning hours on Saturday.

They were covered with national flags and bore the inscription about "soldiers in Ukraine". Inside the coffins were bags of plaster.

In connection with the incident, detentions occurred. First, the truck driver used to transport the coffins was detained, reported the newspaper "Le Parisien", citing police sources.

Two alleged perpetrators were apprehended while preparing to travel by bus to Berlin.

The truck driver testified that he came from Bulgaria and was paid 40 euros for transporting two people and the load.

In France, an investigation was launched to determine whether there was an "interference from abroad".

According to local media, the incident occurred while France was seeking to create a coalition of European countries willing to send instructors to Ukraine to train Ukrainian soldiers.
