It's not without reason that coffee grounds are used as a fertiliser for lawns. This is due to the substances they contain, which are a true treasure trove of nitrogen, potassium, and phosphorus. They not only strengthen the lawn but also encourage growth.
Even the least experienced gardeners should understand how important it is to aerate the soil. Coffee grounds are ideal for this - they can slow down the drying of the soil, which will be very beneficial for the plants growing in it.
Not everyone is also aware of how many pests dislike the smell of coffee. By applying the grounds as fertiliser, we protect our crops.
The collected grounds should be spread evenly over the lawn. October is the last opportunity to do this, as there is usually no frost yet, which allows the substances in the ground time to soak into the soil.
