Cher bids farewell to the stage with the final album release
The legendary singer Cher, aged 76, has announced her retirement from the stage after a career spanning over 60 years. During a gathering at the Lyceum Theatre in London, she declared that her upcoming album will be her final one.
According to information provided by the "Daily Mail", Cher participated in an event on Tuesday to promote her memoir. In a conversation with the audience, the artist revealed her intention to slow down her work pace, but before that occurs, she plans to release her first studio album since 2013.
"This is probably my last album that I’m gonna do," Cher admitted. "I’m really excited. They are great songs and I’m just really excited that I’m doing it," the source quotes the singer.

The singer has not lost her characteristic sense of humour. She joked about her age, saying: "I’m older than dirt now, OK? I’m the oldest person I meet in almost every room unless I’m in an old folks’ home."
Cher also admitted that she has started giving advice to younger women, encouraging them to embrace themselves and enjoy life. She said, calling herself "a hottie," that she doesn't care how old anyone is, they should always feel beautiful.
The artist speaks openly about the challenges associated with the ageing process. "The popstar confessed that she has struggled to adapt to aging and said she has always felt how she's felt and doesn't know how to change that despite nearing 80 years old," reports Daily Mail. She added that she enjoys being around young people because she is not yet ready to come to terms with her age. "I like young people because a lot of my friends don’t want to have that much fun. They can just go off and be old fogies," she stated.
Meanwhile, Cher's family is expressing concerns about her relationship with the 38-year-old music producer Alexander "AE" Edwards, whom she has been dating for two years. The artist's loved ones fear that she does not see his "true intentions", especially since sources claim Edwards is showing "one red flag after another."
The family's concern intensified after Cher revealed in May that she is working with AE on a new album, giving him creative control and paying significant sums. "Cher's family has given up on trying to convince her that Alexander does not have her best interests in mind," an informant told the "Daily Mail". "She claimed that he was not after her money but now he is literally getting paid an enormous amount of money for this new album and she is giving him creative control of it."
