ChatGPT's new memory feature: Personalisation with a privacy catch

OpenAI continuously improves its language model. The latest feature in ChatGPT is a memory that guarantees even more personalized interactions. However, there is a catch.

Activating this option means that the model saves important information for us, such as our habits or preferences. For example, if you ever mention that you prefer wireless keyboards or are not fond of microtransactions in games, then when you ask about purchasing new equipment or games next time, ChatGPT will remember what you told it. The decision to use this feature is voluntary, and the memory can be turned off at any time.

Memory already available, but not for everyone

OpenAI announced that the testing phase has ended, and the feature is now available "for all ChatGPT Plus users." Unfortunately, this feature is not available in Europe or Korea. Will this change in the future? The statement mentioned that the feature is "currently" unavailable, which may suggest possible changes in the future.

OpenAI is more than just ChatGPT

ChatGPT isn't the only focus at OpenAI—it's important to remember the Sora tool, which allows for creating videos. Artificial intelligence excels at video production. As proof, one could point to the Sora series of short films created by professional creators. The premiere of Sora is scheduled for this year, though an exact date has not yet been set.
