A few days ago, recordings emerged on the internet showing horses galloping through the streets of London. The British Army reported that two of the five horses, startled by the noise and fleeing from a military parade rehearsal, had undergone surgery. Their condition is serious, and it remains uncertain if they can return to military service.

On Wednesday, 24 April, in the morning in London, during a rehearsal for the annual military parade celebrating the monarch's birthday at Horse Guards Parade near Buckingham Palace, seven horses were startled by noise from a nearby construction site.

Two horses, named Trojan and Vida, were found in the City district, approximately 4.3 miles east of Horse Guards Parade. Along their route, the animals collided with several cars and a bus. These incidents were captured in video recordings and photographs of the escape through the city.

The provided information indicates that Vida, with her light, almost white coat, was covered in blood after colliding with a vehicle.

Defence Secretary James Cartlidge reported on Thursday, 25 April, that the health condition of the two horses is considered serious. Later, an army spokesperson clarified that two horses, Vida and Quaker, had undergone surgery.

"We hope that both horses will recover. It's too early to confirm their return to official duties, but they've received the best possible veterinary care. Vida, who suffered the most visible injuries, looked horrifying running through London covered in blood. Vida underwent surgery overnight and is now recuperating in a stable near Hyde Park under observation," he reported.

Quaker also had surgery overnight but was transferred to a horse hospital early in the morning. While the full extent of his injuries is still unclear, we believe they do not include a bone fracture but do involve serious lacerations," he added. It has not been disclosed where Quaker was found.

The army spokesperson further mentioned that three injured individuals were soldiers. One has been discharged from the hospital, and the other two are expected to return to service, along with an injured cyclist.
