Almost two years ago, news broke that Céline Dion had been diagnosed with a very rare disease known as the stiff person syndrome or Moersch-Woltmann syndrome. Only one in a million people struggle with this incurable condition. Last May, the singer cancelled her much-anticipated "Courage World Tour", which she initially postponed.

Lately, there have been increasing hints that the diva is getting slightly better. This can be evidenced by her presence at this year’s Grammy Awards ceremony and the resumed contact with fans on social media. Now, it turns out that Céline is making a big comeback. The 56-year-old singer became the face of the May issue of French "Vogue", for which she gave a sincere interview and opened up about her disease.

Céline Dion opened up about her illness

Dion claims she is currently "doing well", but it required a lot of work. As she herself admitted, she has not got rid of the incurable disease. However, she is learning to live with it. Five days a week, she undergoes rehabilitation and vocal exercises. She owes her motivation to fight the illness to the support of her family and fans.

I haven’t beat the disease, as it's still within me and always will be. I hope that we'll find a miracle, a way to cure it with scientific research, but for now, I have to learn to live with it. So that's me, now with Stiff Person Syndrome. Five days a week, I undergo athletic, physical and vocal therapy. [...] I have to learn to live with it now and stop questioning myself. In the beginning, I would ask myself: why me? How did this happen? What have I done? Is this my fault?" she said in an interview with French "Vogue".

Fans are waiting for the concert tour. Céline Dion hasn't made a decision yet

Fans around the world are wondering when and if at all the long-awaited concert tour will resume. According to the singer, nothing is certain yet. Her health is not stable enough yet for her to make a decision about the fate of the "Courage World Tour". However, she did confess that the thought of postponing the performances is unbearable.

"I can't answer that… Because for four years I've been saying to myself that I'm not going back, that I'm ready, that I'm not ready... [...] My body will tell me. On the other hand, I don't just want to wait. It's morally hard to live from day to day," she added.

The mentioned interview was accompanied by a daring photo shoot, during which the diva posed in designs by world-renowned designers such as Balenciaga, Schiaparelli, Jacquemus, and Saint Laurent. There was also a breathtaking cover photo, where Céline appeared topless.
