A certain internet user shared a photo of the aurora borealis they managed to witness. In the post, they humorously lamented about their cat, whose indifferent reaction to the rare spectacle amused users of Portal X. Pet owners found the animal's behavior unsurprising. Was the cat unimpressed by the aurora?

The aurora borealis, an atmospheric phenomenon near the Earth's magnetic poles, is formed by the interaction between particles from the solar wind and the planet's magnetic field.

This phenomenon displays vibrant flickering bands of light across the sky, predominately in pink-red, green, blue, or purple. Although most visible around the Arctic and Antarctic, it can occasionally be seen closer to the equator during significant solar storms. Auroras are among the most incredible and captivating natural events.

On May 9th and 10th (changed to UK's local time), colourful streaks adorned the night sky, with potential sightings also on May 11th. The aurora enthralled the country's residents, leading to a surge of related photos on social media.

The aurora borealis mesmerized viewers in the UK. A Portal X user shared an impressive photo of the aurora that went viral. Yet, their cat's utter indifference caught everyone's attention: "My cat just experienced the aurora borealis, one of the world's most radiant natural phenomena... and she doesn't care."
