Britney Spears unsatisfied with Justin Timberlake's reaction to her apology, hints at legal action

Britney Spears' autobiography was published in October last year, quickly causing a media frenzy. The star shared several unknown anecdotes from her life, with the most widely discussed chapters revolving around Justin Timberlake. The 42-year-old pop star revealed that her ex-boyfriend not only allegedly cheated on her but also persuaded her to have an abortion.

While Justin Timberlake has never officially responded, gossip columns have recently suggested that these revelations have significantly disrupted his personal life.

Note: Justin Timberlake has no plans to reach out to Britney Spears after the publication of her memoir. He laments that the book has hurt his wedding anniversary.

A few days ago, Britney took the unexpected step of apologising to her former partner.

I apologise for some of the things I divulged in my book. If I upset anyone I deeply care for, I am sincerely sorry... - she posted on Instagram, adding that she's obsessed with Justin's new song."

Timberlake didn't seem to appreciate Britney's attempt at reconciling. He stunned the crowd at his concert on Wednesday night at Irving Plaza in New York, publicly addressing Spears' Instagram post.

I want to use this moment to apologise … to absolutely nobody, - he declared from the stage, hinting that the 'Pop Princess's' words didn't sway him.

Britney didn't take long to respond. On Thursday, she posted an image of a basketball hoop against the backdrop of the moon, accompanied by the caption:

I've just discovered that someone in town is spreading rumours about me. Are you ready to settle this in court, or will you run to your mother like last time? I'm not remorseful.
