Britney Spears commented on Sabrina Carpenter's performance during the VMA 2024 ceremony. The singer is delighted, but her video is disturbing.

On 11 September in New York, the MTV VMA 2024, or MTV Video Music Awards, occurred. Numerous stars attended the event, and among the winners were Taylor Swift, the controversial Chappell Roan, Sabrina Carpenter, Lenny Kravitz, Benson Boone, SZA, and Tyla.

Most of the awards were taken home by – no surprise – Taylor Swift. And although the award ceremony did not bring many unexpected twists, it must be admitted that this year's star performances were of really high quality. Chappell Roan, who was heavily criticised for cancelling part of her European tour in favour of the VMAs, delivered, and Sabrina Carpenter performed a brilliant mashup of three singles promoting her album "Short 'n Sweet" in a strange, cosmic setting. There was also no shortage of controversy sparked by her kiss with an alien. Some argue that this is a commentary on Donald Trump's remarks about "transgender operations on illegal aliens".

Performances at the VMAs were widely commented on, but an unusual opinion a few days after the gala was shared by... Britney Spears. The singer stated that she loves Sabrina Carpenter and loves her to death, but doesn't understand why she kissed an alien on stage.
