The ceiling has turned yellow, and you don't have time to paint? We know how to solve this problem. No ladder is needed. We explain how to clean the ceiling without too much effort.

Spring has settled in, and it's time for new beginnings. We're swapping out wardrobes, changing diets, and doing deep cleanings to eliminate unnecessary stuff. The apartment has to be clean and well-kept.

We clean every corner of the house but often forget about one place: the ceiling. All sorts of dirt accumulate there, including yellow stains and dirt. How can we clean the ceiling to restore its original colour? Discover a simple way.

How to clean the ceiling?

Fat, dirt, dust, tobacco smoke, and moisture build-up on the ceiling. After a few years, unsightly yellow stains can appear. The white paint is no longer visible. You don't need to buy new paint to restore the surface to its former appearance. Cleaning it well is enough.

How to clean the ceiling? You'll need a mop stick, a large microfiber cloth, and water with a little dish soap. Dunk the cloth in the prepared solution and wring it out to remove excess water. Attach it to the mop and wipe the ceiling. After wiping, the ceiling should look like new. For heavy dirt, replace the dish soap with baking soda, remove the stains, and whiten the surface.

Don't have a ladder? No problem

It might seem that a ladder is necessary for painting or cleaning the ceiling. However, experts from Franklin Painting tell the British news site Express that this is not the case. To clean the ceiling without using a ladder, you only need a long painter's roller that can reach the ceiling.

Besides the roller, you also need a bottle with a spray nozzle. Pour warm water, two tablespoons of vinegar, and 4 drops of dish soap into it. Close the bottle and shake it thoroughly, then spray the soft microfiber cloth with the prepared solution. Put it on the paint roller and thoroughly wipe the ceiling. It will be as good as new.

This cheap, safe, and entirely natural method works well with white walls and ceilings. If you want to use it to clean walls, ensure they've been painted with waterproof paint. Not sure about it? Use a damp cloth with a bit of dish soap. The vinegar could dissolve the paint; surely you wouldn't want that.
