Trump - an idiot
While some look back fondly on Donald Trump and yearn for his presidency, Brian Cox, based permanently in the United States, views the prospect of his re-election with dread.
- It’s very hard to govern America, and you certainly don’t need idiots like Trump doing that. I do think that Biden is a good man, but he’s too old. - he said at this year's HistFest in London.
"I would have played it much better"
Also at HistFest, during the panel "History on stage and on screen", Brian Cox didn't mince words when discussing Joaquin Phoenix's portrayal in "Napoleon".
- Terrible. It’s terrible. A truly terrible performance by Joaquin Phoenix. It really is appalling. I don’t know what he was thinking. I think it’s totally his fault and I don’t think Ridley Scott helps him. I would have played it a lot better than Joaquin Phoenix, I tell you that. You can say it’s good drama. No – it’s lies." summarised "Succession's" Logan Roy.
