According to the Meduza portal, citing Russian investigative services, the explosion occurred on Ryazansky Prospect, approximately 6 kilometres from the Kremlin.

According to reports, the bomb with a blast power equivalent to 200 grams of TNT was hidden in an electric scooter. The shock wave was so large that it shattered windows on three floors of a nearby residential building and knocked out the entrance doors.
