Joe Biden's decision to withdraw from seeking re-election electrified the world. Kremlin officials, including former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, also reacted to it. Medvedev briefly commented on the matter on Telegram.

Many pieces of information provided by Russian media or government representatives are elements of propaganda. Such reports are part of the information warfare conducted by the Russian Federation.

"Biden is everything... We wish him all the best. The goals of the special military operation (as the war in Ukraine is called in Russia - ed. note) will be achieved," Medvedev wrote on his Telegram account.

Earlier, Dmitry Peskov, Vladimir Putin's spokesperson, had also commented on Biden's resignation. He stated, among other things, that Putin called Biden more predictable and, therefore, the preferred candidate for the US presidency. The Kremlin spokesperson emphasized that the US elections, unlike achieving the goals of the "special operation" in Ukraine, are not Russia's priority.
