For several days, there has been a massive bombardment of Belgorod. Ukrainian support rebels, including those from the "Free Russia" Legion, have admitted to it. The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs accuses Ukrainians of disrupting the ongoing Russian presidential elections while simultaneously being accused of such actions.

Many reports by Russian media or authority representatives are elements of propaganda. Such reports are part of the informational war conducted by the Russian Federation.

Several hours earlier, Russians fighting on Ukraine's side, including from the "Free Russia" Legion, announced that at 4:00 PM Greenwich Mean Time, they would attack Belgorod.

"Attention! Dear residents of Belgorod and the region. Today at 4:00 PM Greenwich Mean Time, a mass strike on military facilities in Belgorod will begin. We appeal to all who have not yet left the region to immediately go to shelters. You do not have to become a human shield for Putin's security forces. Take care of yourself and your loved ones" - was written.

As announced, the attack on the city began at the specified time.

Russian Foreign Ministry about the attacks on the city

The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs commented on the attacks in Belgorod. In a statement published on the official website of the ministry, it was emphasized that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are attempting to disrupt the presidential election process, thereby proving their activity to the West.

"It is obvious that the corrupt regime in Kiev has intensified its terrorist activity in connection with the ongoing presidential elections in Russia, to demonstrate its activity to western sponsors and ask for even greater financial support and lethal weapons" - the statement reads.

As announced, those who conduct the attacks will be found and brought to trial.

"The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemns the bloody crimes of the Kiev regime against the civilian population and civilian infrastructure. Continuous shelling by the Armed Forces of Ukraine of our country's civilian infrastructure is aimed at disrupting the process of expressing the civilian population's will, intimidating people, and depriving them of the opportunity to vote" - the ministry emphasized.
