Artisan toast: Avocado, peach, and burrata blend in summer delight
Standard sandwiches typically feature butter, cheese, sometimes deli meats, and fresh vegetables. However, this recipe is certainly a departure from these standard combinations, as avocado paste, creamy burrata, and peach play the main roles here. It works wonderfully for breakfast, a healthy snack, or a light dinner for the entire family.

This combination is an explosion of freshness and flavour. Creamy avocado provides a great base for the sandwich and healthy fats, peach adds sweetness and juiciness, and burrata offers a delicate and slightly salty taste. It's the perfect combination that, after the first bite, transports you back to warm summer days and snacks enjoyed in the sun's rays. Fortunately, you can return to this recipe all year round, as all the ingredients are readily available in stores.
Summer sandwich with avocado, burrata, and peach
This snack can impress even before tasting it—it's colourful and beautifully presented, which encourages even fussy eaters. The toasts are crispy, avocado and burrata add creaminess, and slices of peach balance the whole dish. Every bite is a perfect, harmonious composition of flavours. It's a superb idea for a light breakfast, a nutritious lunch, or an original snack for a party.
This sandwich is not only delicious but also healthy. Avocado is a source of healthy fats, B vitamins, and potassium. Peach provides vitamin C, beta-carotene, and fibre. Burrata offers high-quality protein and calcium so that you can find taste and a solid portion of nutrients in a simple toast.
Ingredients:
- 2 slices of sourdough bread,
- 1 burrata,
- 1 avocado,
- 1 peach,
- olive oil for drizzling,
- salt and pepper to taste,
- basil leaves.
Instructions:
Step 1. Cut two slices of bread. It's best to choose high-quality bread, and the pieces should be quite thick.
Step 2. Heat olive oil in a pan and toast the bread on both sides until it is golden brown.
Step 3. Cut the avocado in half. Insert a knife into the pit to remove it. Use a spoon to scoop the flesh and transfer it to a bowl. Add juice squeezed from half a lemon, being careful not to let any seeds fall in. Mash with a fork.
Step 4. Cut the peach in half, remove the pit, and slice into half-moons.
Step 5. Spread the mashed avocado on the toast. Add sliced peaches and burrata torn into smaller pieces. Season to taste with salt and freshly ground pepper. Garnish with basil leaves, and you're done. Enjoy!
