In Slovakia, three more people have been detained for supporting the attempted assassination of Prime Minister Robert Fico. All have been charged.

Investigators from the National Crime Agency (NAKA) detained three individuals, who have all been taken into investigative custody.

The accused were posting on a social media platform, where they praised the actions of the assailant in Handlová. They committed the crime of condoning a criminal act - said spokeswoman Denisa Bárdyová.

She assured us that the police are working intensively to clarify the case and look for other similar crimes. Posts containing hate and those tolerating criminal activities are still being analyzed.

Bárdyová said there will be an action in all cases, without exception.

On Saturday, NAKA charged a person who threatened the interior minister and two MPs via social media.

Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico was shot on Wednesday after leaving a government meeting held in the town of Handlová. The Prime Minister wanted to greet people, among whom was the attacker Juraj C., a 71-year-old amateur writer, member of a literary club, and legal gun owner.

Fico underwent complicated surgeries. His condition is stable, though still considered severe.
