Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo enchant in 'Wicked' film debut

In the film, Cynthia Erivo, a recipient of Emmy, Grammy, and Tony awards, plays Elphaba. Due to her green skin, Elphaba is an extraordinary woman who has yet to discover her true power. Grammy Award-winning superstar Ariana Grande portrays Glinda, who has yet to discover her true heart.
Both characters are students at Shiz University in the fantastical Land of Oz and develop a deep friendship. However, after meeting the Wizard of Oz, their friendship reaches a crossroads, and their lives take entirely different paths.
Glinda desires popularity and dreams of power, while Elphaba stays true to herself and those around her. Her attitude will have unexpected consequences for her future. Extraordinary adventures in the Land of Oz will ultimately lead them to fulfil their destinies as the Good Witch and the Wicked Witch of the West.
