Apple unveils new iPad range in London with revolutionary OLED displays

Today, the latest iPad models will be presented. Apple held this event a year earlier in Cupertino; this time, it's London's turn. Four new products will be showcased during the event: two models of iPad Air and two iPad Pro. Will the experts' predictions come true?

The Apple event will begin at 3:00 PM GMT. The company will present four newly introduced iPad models—two from the Air line and two from the Pro line. The presentation will take place in Battersea, a charming South-West district of London. This location is famous for Battersea Park and the now-defunct Battersea Power Station, the largest brick building in Europe.

what products will Apple present?

What will we see at the Apple Let Loose conference? Analysts forecast that the company will present four new iPad models and accessories designed for them, including the Magic Keyboard and the latest model of the Apple Pencil.

what will characterize the iPad Pro?

The iPad Pro tablets will be the first models in the company's history to be equipped with OLED displays. As a result, they will have better image quality and longer battery life than previous models. Like them, the iPad Pro will be equipped with ProMotion technology, i.e., adaptive image refresh. Tablets from this series will be available with screens in two sizes—approximately 28 cm (11 inches) and approximately 33 cm (13 inches).

These devices are also expected to stand out with a unique design. They will be thinner than their predecessors, and the bezels around the screen will also be narrowed. Interestingly, the position of the camera will also change. It will be located on the longer side of the device, facilitating video calls when the tablet is used with a keyboard.

Analysts are divided regarding which processor Apple will equip the iPad Pro with. Some believe that the Apple Silicon M4 chip will be used, supporting advanced artificial intelligence functions, while others predict that the company will decide on the M3 chip, which is used in the MacBook Air and Pro.

iPad Air in two versions

The iPad Air will also be presented in two versions. One will be the direct successor to the current model with a 28 cm (11-inch) diagonal. The other will have a larger screen with a 33 cm (13-inch) diagonal. Both versions will have LCD matrices.

The new models will look similar to the fourth-generation iPad Airs. The differences will include moving the front camera to the longer side and changing the shape of the rear camera module to a "pill", as in the iPhone X. The new iPad Air models will be equipped with the Apple Silicon M2 chips.

What accessories for iPads will Apple present?

Apple will likely also present accessories during the conference, including the refreshed Magic Keyboard. The new model will have an aluminium frame, not polyurethane, as before. Similar to the previous version, its exterior part will be covered with silicone. Changes will also affect the trackpad, whose size will be similar to that of the MacBook laptops.

Apple is also expected to show a new stylus, which might be called Apple Pencil 3 or Apple Pencil Pro. It will offer the ability to use a squeezing gesture that activates assigned functions and provides haptic feedback.

How to watch the Let Loose conference broadcast?

If you want to watch the Let Loose presentation, you can use popular browsers such as Safari, Chrome, or Firefox through Apple's website. The broadcast from it will also be available live on the YouTube platform. You can also use the Apple TV app on Apple devices such as iPhones, iPads, Mac computers, the Apple TV set-top box, and some Smart TVs.
