Anya Taylor-Joy's avant-garde fashion makes a statement in Mexico
Anya Taylor-Joy missed this year's MET Gala, an event where the biggest stars flaunt their extravagant outfits, as she was in Mexico promoting her latest movie, "Furiosa". While there, she opted for an avant-garde outfit, making sitting down challenging.
A 28-year-old wowed the crowd at St. Regis Hotel in Mexico City, where a promotional event for the movie "Furiosa: Saga Mad Max" occurred. We will see her on the screen in a post-apocalyptic setting, but she opted for a completely different style in Mexico.
During the event, Anya Taylor-Joy appeared in two different outfits. Which one do you like more?
Silver mini
First, Taylor-Joy wore a silver minidress made of metal. It was a custom-made piece by the French fashion house Balmain. The perfectly fitted creation included dozens of metallic flowers attached in various places.
The metallic mini comprised two "shells" fastened together with snaps. In one behind-the-scenes video, you can see assistants riveting the actress into this unusual armour. And although the creation did not hinder walking in heels, sitting down was out of the question.
Change of clothes
Fortunately, Taylor-Joy didn't have to parade in "armour" all evening. After the photo session, she jumped into a much more comfortable outfit made of white leather. The extravagant set consisted of a skirt with a zipper in the front and a cropped bolero with rounded shoulder pads.
Metalic dress
The blond beauty's look was complemented by hanging straps attached to silver metal hoops and minimalist white stilettos.
